We're here with another edition of our Hushed Commotion style guide with one of our favorite bridal designers Martha Suarez. She creates non-tradit...
Every once in a while, the stars align perfectly and an opportunity comes your way that couldn't have been planned better if you had tried, this studio opening was one of those times. After making the hard decision to leave my full time job with Saja Wedding this past May to persue my collection more earnestly, the opportunity came along with my dear friend and very talented designer, Rebecca Schoneveld, to set up studio space in her new Brooklyn store. A dream come true!
I can't tell you how wonderful and supportive Rebecca has been of me and my dreams, I am a lucky lady to have her on my side. Not to mention that our aesthetic styles compliment each other so well!
These images show case the true labor of love that Rebecca put in to totally reinventing the store front space she acquired (gutted and renovated!) . I love all the soft but rich colors, the custom chandelier she made (there were a LOT of genius DIY projects in this space) and the gold accents. A warm, welcoming, and productive space for Rebecca and I to make our mark on the world!
Thank you to all the amazing friends, family, and fellow industry professionals who came out to support us at the opening, it meant the world to us!
A special thank you to Amber Gress who took these heartfelt and beautiful images, we are honored to have had you be a part of this momentus event!

Pretty incredible, right? Rebecca sourced, designed and fabricated this beauty!
What a year it has been! I started these events at the beginning of this year, and I couldn't have imagined how much I would come to enjoy and value what has grown out of them. I am so delighted and thankful that I met my co-conspirator, Patricia, of Fourteen-Forty through this process, she has been a integral part of Entwined's growth and a true friend.
For our final event of 2012 we choose to host a holiday party at the intimate and delicious, Middle Branch (some of you may know its sister venue, Little Branch). Lucinda, the manager, and the team there were so gracious and inviting. Even preparing us a specialty cocktail for the evening: Regal Gold Rush Royal - now try saying that 5 times in a row! (See below image for the full ingredient list)
Patricia and I couldn't have been more pleased with the crew of industry professionals, and now friends, who came out to join us on a cold night in December! Many wonderful ideas were hatched for 2013, we reminisced over 2012, and we caught up on life.
Cheers to you all and here's to a promising 2013!
A warm thank you to Tim Gibson for graciously documenting our event!
