Every once in a while, the stars align perfectly and an opportunity comes your way that couldn't have been planned better if you had tried, this studio opening was one of those times. After making the hard decision to leave my full time job with Saja Wedding this past May to persue my collection more earnestly, the opportunity came along with my dear friend and very talented designer, Rebecca Schoneveld, to set up studio space in her new Brooklyn store. A dream come true!
I can't tell you how wonderful and supportive Rebecca has been of me and my dreams, I am a lucky lady to have her on my side. Not to mention that our aesthetic styles compliment each other so well!
These images show case the true labor of love that Rebecca put in to totally reinventing the store front space she acquired (gutted and renovated!) . I love all the soft but rich colors, the custom chandelier she made (there were a LOT of genius DIY projects in this space) and the gold accents. A warm, welcoming, and productive space for Rebecca and I to make our mark on the world!
Thank you to all the amazing friends, family, and fellow industry professionals who came out to support us at the opening, it meant the world to us!
A special thank you to Amber Gress who took these heartfelt and beautiful images, we are honored to have had you be a part of this momentus event!
I also so appreciate the generosity of Sugar Flower Cake Shop and Rebecca Shepherd for their contributions!
