Shipping

How long does it take for my item to arrive?

Each order is a bit different. It can take from 2 to 7 weeks to produce the item, and then we ship. We have noted on each item page the estimated production time. Once the item ships, it usually takes 3-8 days to arrive; International items can take 5-12 days (via USPS). We are happy to do rush orders or expedited shipping for a small fee.

How much is shipping?

Domestic shipping is FREE! All shipments are sent via UPS Ground.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! All shipments are made via USPS. Europe and surrounding countries: Flat Rate $35.00 (1-2 weeks in transit) Australia: Flat rate $38.00 (1-2 weeks in transit) Canada: Flat rate $25.00 (1 week in transit)

Product Care/Maintenance

How do I care for my HC piece(s)?

Due to the delicate nature of our pieces we encourage brides to take extra
care in the handling & storing of their Hushed Commotion accessories post
wedding day so that they can be worn at other occasions or passed down.

Upon receiving your piece(s):

 - Veils + sashes may arrive with slight creases; please do not apply
   direct heat onto pieces. Use an iron or steamer to lightly steam piece(s).
 - For birdcage veils, applying non-direct steam will help the veil regain
   its shape after shipping.

We suggest the follow care to keep your Hushed Commotion Accessories
in the best condition possible:

-  Please carefully shield your accessories from hair spray, chemicals and
   make up. Hair spray leaves a sticky film that attracts and holds onto
   dirt and is difficult and sometimes impossible to clean off. Chemicals
   and cleaning supplies can damage the finish on your HC piece
   permanently. If you need to clean your accessory piece, clean/dust
   items off with a soft dry cloth.

-  Remove belts from Wedding Dress before sending to the dry cleaner.
   The removal of sashes before dry cleaning is crucial because sashes are
   not meant to be dry cleaned & if they are, the belt may be permanently
   damaged & beads will be lost.

-  Store pieces in original packaging or in storage packaging that is cotton
   & breathable. Keep pieces in cool, dark places without humidity and
   away from the sun. Storing in exposure to sunlight, heat, & humidity
   will limit the life span of your item.

Sterling Silver Care:

If you begin to notice a yellowish hue on sterling silver items, you can
remove this tarnish using a jewelry polishing cloth. Please don’t put water
onto the cloth. It only works dry. Do Not use the polishing cloth on
pieces that aren't sterling.

Orders

Can I customize the designs?

Many items can be customized. If you just want to change a sash color, we can easily do that at no extra charge. If it is something more involved like adding a flower or changing the fabrication, we can discuss how the cost would change based on the changes. 

Thea can also work with you on a totally customized item, all custom orders start at $125 and then are priced out depending on the nature of the design, just email us!

Can I return my item?

No, there are no returns. We make everything by hand and often pieces are made to order. As a small company we need to be able to plan our materials, labor and design comprehensively - we also take great care in each hand crafted piece. We are happy to answers as many questions you need before you order.
