Top Five Bridal Trends of 2020

Top Five Bridal Trends of 2020

Planning a wedding can be an extremely overwhelming process. From guests lists to coordinating vendors and balancing budgets, there often seems to be too many options for every decision. Although we can’t choose linens and silverware for you, we can help you navigate the bridal fashion space and choose the look that will make you feel your very best on your big day!

Today we’re breaking down the top bridal trends of 2020 and giving you tips on how to style each look.

Trend #1: Romance

Whether you’re inspired by the pages of Vogue or looking to bring the drama with lace and ruffles, we love the timeless feel of a romantic look! Since this trend often comes with volume, it’s important to add accessories that balance the look without overwhelming the bride’s frame. We recommend a medium sized earring such as our MurphyMorris, or Falcon. The best part? These earrings can be worn again after the wedding, dressed down with jeans and a top, or dressed up for a guest of a wedding look.

Trend #2: Color

If classic ivory or white is not your thing, take a chance and lean into color. From the runway to the aisle, we’ve seen brides in an array of colored gowns, from buff to red. If you do decide to forgo white, it is important to choose simple accessories. We love the look of gold, especially in our Sedona hair piece, Gwen belt, or Carson comb with colored gowns!

Trend #3: High Neck

The Duchess of Cambridge brought back the high-neck trend in 2011 but nine years later, it is still going strong! This classic look is one of our favorites but can often feel stuffy. We love the idea of adding a hair piece, such as our Tess Tiara, Quinn headband and Blake Tiara to really make the look your own. Whether a headband or pins, using a hair piece draws the focus to the face and gives your bridal look some more personality!

Trend #4: Minimal

Following Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2019, the bridal industry has seen a rise in bridal minimalism. You don’t want to contrast the simple silhouette of a minimalist dress with large accessories. Instead, keep to the contemporary feel and select an unembellished veil such as our Leandra or Louisa.

Trend #5: Statement Suit

If a gown isn’t your thing, try a suit for your big day! These tailored ensembles give a modern badass vibe while still feeling bridal. Balance the masculine look of a suit with feminine pearl details. Try out our Daryn earrings, Reese clip, or Vesper necklace.
